I have had neck and back problems stemming from a bike accident. I was invited to Surf the Kelly Slater Wave Company with a few friends and didn't want to miss this amazing opportunity. One thing almost stood in the way... I was suffering from low back pain for 3 months prior to the event and finally had an MRI which revealed two herniated disks. As a result, I was quite stiff and not surfing anywhere near my full potential. Additionally I was feeling acute pain and stiffness throughout my lower back and hip area.
